INTRODUCTION/ PREAMBLE

The capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur, was founded in AD 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and is referred to as the "Pink City." The city is rich in history and culture, with wide avenues and roomy gardens. In these spectacular, pink-hued forts and palaces, where the Maharajas once resided, the past comes to life. The vibrant bazaars of Jaipur, known for its Rajasthani jewellery, clothing, and shoes, have a timeless appeal and are a shoppers' paradise. Jaipur, which was planned by Vidyadhar Bhattacharya, is known for being India's first planned city. It is based on the guidelines set forth in the Indian Treatise on Architecture and the Shilpa Shastra. The city features a grid layout, with rectangular blocks formed by wide, intersecting avenues and streets as demand and time alter.

In front of the forts Nahargarh, Jaigarh, and Garh Ganesh Temple, Jaipur rises majestically. One of the main tourist sites in the nation, the vibrant modern city is one of the three points of the golden triangle that also comprises Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. Nowdays, The Jaipur Development Authority is in charge of the region's development After the establishment of the Jaipur Development Authority, modern town planning methods were included in the preparation of Master Development Plans, which have since been prepared for the years 1998, 2011, and 2025.

MDP-2025 was prepared in year 2011,incorporating 2940 SQ.KM. Area for the projected population of 65 lac. Dravyavati River Rejuvenation Project is one of major Development which is a drainage Project (47.5 km river front) that had degenerated into an untreated sewage nallah, which has been restored as a perennial river fed by treated water. For the improvement city transportation of Jaipur city the Ring road 150 km, 6 lane encircling the city of Jaipur Phase I & II (Southern Part) with a length of 47 km is completed, Sodala elevated road and Chomu puliya elevated roads are also completed to manage urban transport. Rajasthan International Centre (RIC) which is a newly constructed milestone by JDA in the line of Habitat Centre ,New Delhi to organize Cultural Activities of International & National convention. Gandhi Vatika, a museum is also built in Central Park that aims to provide a unique experience by focusing and enlightening visitors about the life of Mahatma Gandhi. JDA has also started a major health infrastructure project named as SMS Hospital Inpatient Department (IPD) Tower. Jaipur Development Authority has also come up with unique design parameters for Green City & Heritage City located at Agra Road, which will creates a unique culture and lifestyle for the inhabitants. Zonal Development roads have also been categorized on the basis of priority roads so that Zonal Road Network could be developed. New major phase of METRO route is under consideration to cater commuters from Sitapura to VKI industrial area, which will cover major economic, institutional, government offices sectors in the city. The Authority with the view to securing planned integrated development & land use, need to carry out public opinion on JDA portal for preparation of a Master Development Plan-2047 for Jaipur Region for the projected population up to 1.5 crore. This questionnaire is being produced to ensure public engagement, in order to develop with the public for the public and receive better direction for future development.
